Earlier I called on the Government to revisit its employment support schemes to ensure that the estimated 3million people currently falling through the gaps are offered support. Too many have been excluded including #NewStarters #Freelancers and many #SelfEmployed @ExcludedUK

There are far too many people who have been excluded from vital support during this pandemic.

On Wednesday the Chancellor said to businesses: "if you stand by your workers weβll stand by you", but he must now stand by those whoβve been excluded and have fallen through the gaps. pic.twitter.com/0FrhzId8ax
The Chancellor has had six months to fix the gaps in his wage support schemes and help those who fell through them. Today we heard again what he plans to do for them β nothing. He's done nothing, he's doing nothing and he proposes, in future, to do nothing.
