I resigned today as a PPS to Angela Rayner in order that I could vote against the #CHISBill in line with my conscience & to stop the abuses that took place against Stephen Lawrence's family & friends, against the Hillsborough fight for justice, against trade unionists.

The appalling scenes in Bristol and police brutality against peaceful protestors (and the press), together with lies about broken bones from the previous week shows the police have too much unfettered power without the PCSC Bill. There needs to be an inquiry into #BristolProtest

200 Liverpool pupils sent home to isolate days into a return to school. Two of the schools in my constituency affected. Don't rush it, the unions said to @BorisJohnson. Don't rush it, said PH experts. Time the government listened to the people who know best. #onlywhensafe

Overdue but correct decision to close all primary schools in London but why aren't the teachers, schools staff and children in the north worth the same care? I 100% support the call from the NEU to close all schools until it is safe to re-open.
