I'm deeply concerned by reports that Nigerian security forces yesterday opened fire on a crowd at the Lekki toll gate peacefully demonstrating against Special Anti-Robbery Squad brutality, extrajudicial executions and extortion. I will be writing to the Foreign Secretary #EndSARS

Thank you to @UKLabour's Shadow Foreign Office Minister @SDoughtyMP for raising the #EndSars shooting in Parliament earlier this morning. A huge amount of concern among my constituents about the incident. https://t.co/9I0zQCKBa4

Just in case any of my constituents are in any doubt: I am not prepared to support this revised Brexit deal unless it is subject to a confirmatory referendum with the option of staying in the EU on the ballot paper. The people must have the final say.

Were it not for the Benn-Burt Act we would be crashing out of the EU at 11pm tonight without a deal. As derided as this Parliament is by many, we restrained an overweening executive and repeatedly prevented what would have been a monumental act of national self harm.
