I’ve worked on 3 impeachments in my life:
-Nixon resigned in disgrace
-Clinton apologized to the nation & repented
-Trump says his behavior was “perfect,” keeps trying to cheat our elections, & says he has a right to abuse his power

That’s why we must #DefendOurDemocracy

Democracy in #HongKong is under threat by the Chinese government.

Today, the House of Representatives stands w/ #HongKongers by reaffirming U.S. commitment to their rights & suspending crowd control equipment sales to the police who are brutally targeting peaceful protesters. pic.twitter.com/vNw7SlJsWn

Executive privilege cannot be used to prevent a witness who is willing to testify from appearing, and certainly not one who no longer works in government. It’s not a gag order. And witnesses testify on national security all the time.

Bolton has a right to testify if he wants to. https://t.co/4FtvPDgtDl

Last month, @HouseDemocrats voted in support of democracy in #HongKong. Today, the legislation passed both chambers of Congress.

The rights of #HongKongers are being violently repressed. This cannot be ignored. Anyone who cares about human rights should #StandWithHongKong https://t.co/ja2qCiSHyc
