A new directive from the Chief Medical Officer of Health orders that long-term care homes should immediately direct all staff and essential visitors to wear masks at all times, whether or not the home is experiencing an outbreak. pic.twitter.com/bpABPCydi4
My heart breaks for the lives lost as a result of this pandemic. Our gov has been clear: the system is broken. Long-term care has endured years of neglect. Once we emerge from this pandemic, we will get to the bottom of this. Yes, there will be a review.

The safety of residents in #LongTermCare is my top priority. Findings by the @CanadianForces on the 5 homes to which they are deployed are gut-wrenching and appalling. We are taking immediate steps, including launching investigations at each home. https://t.co/KQPPbVT0yl
